Duran Piano Studio
Piano lessons to students of all ages and levels
Monthly Studio Class
School-aged students attend studio class once a month, performing in front of their peers, and gaining experience for seasonal recitals.
Students learn proper concert etiquette and performed their finished pieces on the grand piano in the studio.
Students play music games, reinforcing music theory concepts learned during their lesson and group class.
Following their performance, students watch a video of their performance, learn how to critique their own performances while sharing pizza and other snacks.
The Studio is also home to a green iguana who loves music.
She will fall asleep or even come out and lay by the piano if she really enjoys the music being played.
For the most part, she is not allowed to be out of her enclosure as it can be too much of a distraction for the student and the instructor.
